Description
have a good, peacefull and Godblessed week.
Yesterday it was vettetranen dag in holland, we then cry for the people who still havent learned to solve arguments without agression. A day to commemorate the weapon industry and theire beneficktors :P (I say Lets introduce the poluter pays priciple for weapon producers too.) there 3 guilty parties of war crime:
1 the weapon producers.
2 the politicians that order it.
3 the soldier that execute the commands.
no one likes it but it goes on because alot of money is to be made, stop making war lucrative and you stop the suffering it creates.
On a totaly diffrent note, I bought some polymer clay and an oven to experiment with it does any body know truely transparent, glasslike clay?

What an unusual flower!!?? It looks almost like an orchid, but completely different????? I've no idea but it has some fantastic details and you have captured them brilliantly. Hugs xx

Wow, this looks more like some kind of sea creature than a flower! Beautiful and fascinating, whatever it is. (couldn't agree more with you about your views on violence and warfare, too!)

normally during war the economy prospers, but this time it sucks. maybe with a new pres in the white house it will improve. stunning flower and macro. does this flower have an odor?offensive no less?

It looks like some sort of a bromeliad. The foliage suggests the same. Great shot of a very unusual flower. BTW: In the 60's we said 'Make Love not War'. Now we say 'Make money even if it means going to War'. Thanks for sharing. Lee

War begins with shouting. In the bible there were three masters. Soldiers, Farmers and I forget the other one. In the New testament it was preachers and teachers with Appollos the greatest preacher. The Philistines took away all the armaments of the Israelites leaving them with only plows and pruning hooks. The Ark with it's tablets was lost forever. What comes after shouting? Shut up! always shouted. Ghandi said, "nonviolence provokes violence." He made his concept work, too. The first thing to take away would be the amplifier and bullhorn.

MY DAD HAD ONE FOR YEARS AND YEARS. THE FLOWER SMELLS SO BAD. REAL BAD. LIKE ROTTING FLESH. IT IS A CACTUS OR SUCCULENT FAMILY. I CAN ASK MY FAMILY THEY PROBABLY STILL HAVE THE FLOWER/PLANT.
