Identification of this bird was difficult because females look nothing like the males.

an excellent close portrait of a sweet bird, great Depth of field to the photo. I would be the last person to ask for an ID on any birds or anything in nature but if we saw this bird here in the UK it has all the markings of a "Thrush" with the speckled chest. great shot!

I never thought much about what different looks the sexes of these birds had. I adore the males with their flashy dress. The little lady is equally as flashy only in a different way. Stunning, clean capture.
