I'm old, married to Linda ( http://lindamccarthy.redbubble.com/ ) for what she thinks are 20 long years.  Two step-children, four grandchildren and a great dog pal, our Dirk.
I am an accountant now with an eclectic job history. Have loved photography for years and am just now getting back into it after a 20 year hiatus. Lost most of my prior work and gear in an arson fire. So. I guess you could say I'm starting over with my preferred personal therapy.
It's nice to have a place where I can look at the work of others for ideas and challenges, as well as a format to display my own work.

I believe this is also one of the many types of peacock iris. It has the same petal configuration and pattern, although the colors are different from the "standard" ones. I know peacock iris come in yellow as well as the white and light purple. Great shot.

Whatever it is, it is a beauty!

The seed pods that are forming look like iris, and the center of the flower does, but not like any I've seen. It's gorgeous!

Beautiful and different. I've never seen such a flower.
