Will have to pay another visit to this area again. I'm just curious of what's on the other side of this pond as I see some man-made structures. Maybe there is an easier way to here? Aloha and thank you for viewing

I once hiked in an area in the desert. We had driven down the wash to get to our camp and then took off on foot down some first dusty paths in the cactus, then up a rocky mountain, saw a spot that was irresistible and headed over hill and dale (are their dales in the desert????) until 2 hours later we arrived in this really great spot. That'w when we started glassing the surroundings and discovered we were about a mile in from a county road entrance and there were houses in the distance. Pfsssst. How dumb we felt. But it sure was fun and the walk back to camp had a smile in each step. I love the way this tapers off into a point beyond that holds a bit of mystery.
