Description

Golden-chain tree is a stunning, small tree noted for its long, pendulous clusters of flowers. A member of the pea family, Laburnum x Watereri is a hybrid cross between the common and Scotch laburnum. Golden-chain tree is native to Europe and widely planted there. All plant parts contain cytisine, an alkaloid that is toxic to children, adults, and livestock if eaten. Well if you read all the info above you will see it says it's toxic to livestock but the deer love our Golden Chain and this is the first year we got a big enough fence around it to keep them out. So I finally after 5 years got to enjoy the flowers. Hope you enjoy them to. Thanks for all the time you spend looking and commenting on my work. Most appreciated. It makes my day lol..Take care:0)bonita

I've thought about buying one in the past but I've never seen an actual shot of the whole tree so I don't know the size or shape of one. I love this shot of the blooms!

Lovely photo of these pretty flowers. Isn't it funny how those things which are most pleasing to the eye, are often the most deadliest.
