Description

He all cover up and at first i did not see him. Plus he in the shadows of the golden hours. Some people say it best time to shot photos. Maybe but some stuff you need to get the sun light on the subjects and a lot of times these subjects is gone. They there sunning themselfs at noon. First time I saw one this late in the day and he in the shadows. I have to do post work to bring him out. I even took away some color around him for him to stand out. What got me was all that stuff he had on his body. I thought of the Navel Seals or speical forces I see on the mility channel. I took the photo at guess work [did not even kown what i was looking at lol] and when I down loaded it on my computor I saw what it was; a gator. He could have bite me before I saw him but good thing he was a long way off. that why I do not get out my truck much here. I going to have to show you the lay of the land here one day. thanks for looking and comments have a far out day

Yes he looks all in camouflaged up like you say in the special forces, I see how difficult it was for you to spot him. he carries his own deadly weapons Jocko his strength, muscle power, teeth and tail. great capture!

You sure this aint a decoy Jocko, like the wooden duck to lure others. Sure does look funny with all that moss on him. Well spotted, I don't think I could have pulled him out of the shadows. Excellent capture, you wouldn't get me pussy footing around after dark down in the swamp, not after seeing this critter anyhow. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

This really brings out the way they appear. Way too near for a wild creature of such formidable power.

You're no Steve Erwin you say? LOL I would love to see these guys up close without the fence around them. They are so special and powerful. Great shot and your postwork is great.

LOL Looks like he was mucking around before you found him. That stuff would keep him cool on a hot day, I guess. But if he didn't move, maybe he's the dead one, that the moss grew on.

You go where angels fear to tread, my friend! Gotta watch your step around the Bayou and Lake Martin. Splendid shot of the old thick skinned reptile there, Jock!
