Description
This is my great-niece, Makenna. She's two and a half years old, and hates to have her picture taken. I got this shot in that split-second between when she looked up at me and when she realized I had a camera. Once she notices the camera, it's all over.
She had the best time "playing" the piano. At one point she was hitting the keys with a plastic microphone, and I said, "Makenna, please don't bang on the piano with the microphone." She said, (QUITE put out,) "I am not BANGING on the piano, Auntie Tara."

Oh, auntie Tara, have you no heart? Why would you ever want to stop this adorable, headstrong and precocious young angel from destroying the piano? As Hillary Rodham Clinton so aptly put it, "it's for the children!" This is one absolutely terrific momentous portrait of your dear great-niece, replete with fine clarity, back and reflective lighting, colors/hues, and spontaneity in her expression. Also like the blur of her fingers as they tap out Beethoven's Fifth.
