Jazz is before my time. I used to tease my roomate that he was playing "bus station" music when he would play his favorite Oscar Peterson albums and talk about the Metropole Supper club in Windsor, Ontario. What came out of that was a lesson about cabaret licenses. Folk, blues, rock those are intertwined in my era. Jazz had to wait for Sly and the Family Stone. A basement club not in Pasadena but in Redondo Beach. The disk jockey was college radio and female not WJR and payola.

The detail in the pose of the raised arm and hand are well done and the expression in the face with the planing and light are excellent. The three-quarters pose gives great interest and I like this very much.
