Description

A view from the place where I was when I lost my previous SLR camera and also were I was when I learned that I lost a grandson. Yet I call this "home" and the place where big game still roam free. The folk who built this man made dam left us with many an interesting story varying from ghosts to raiding the mail coach. This intersects with the transport route up into Africa and was part of our "Wild West".

Piet, this is amazing and I can feel the reverence in it. The "awakening" of the beams through the clouds and the softness of the water scene touches the heart, the mind and the soul. Stellar work. I really do sit and anxiously await each of your posts.

And you I think are one of those big game that roam free. Hehehe.. A place to let your mind roam free for sure and to be free if only for a little while. The photographs you have taken at this place have all been special. This one is beathtaking.

Very striking image Piet. I am so sorry to hear about your grandson and feel for his parents as well as I had a serious fright over my son last weekend. I hope it also continues to bring you good times as well.
