Description

This actress represents Elizabeth I Elizabeth I (1533 –1603) was Queen of England and Queen of Ireland. Sometimes called The Virgin Queen, Gloriana or Good Queen Bess, All the dresses you’ve seen here where handmade by Louis Scheffer en Else Gerritsen, assisted by a lot of volunteers. Else works from a museum with historical aspects , and Louis does normally theater clothings. They use paintings and historical manuscripts to be at original as possible. For example, Holbein’s famous painting was used for Henry VIII. This dress of Elizabeth is covered with 11147 pearls and lots of golden and ruby beads, and weights 25 kilo’s (55.2 lbs) If the workhours could be insured, it would be 30.000 euro in value. For Dutch readers this site: /www.grootstestaatsbezoekallertijden.nl/ Take care, have a great day and thanks for your support and kind comments on my previous postings. Also thanks to everyone who added my work as a favorite. Cornelis
