Description

My first Vue upload, and I must say what a great software package it is. The problem is I think I will have to upgrade the Ram on my computer to handle the immense size of some of the files, ouch!!!! lol I thought I would do Dinoraul's magnificent beast again but this time in Vue instead of Bryce. If you care to take a look at my last image, you will see there is a significant difference in quality of render, even though I thought my Bryce effort was quite good. Inspired by Jeremy's great work, kyer_99 here at Renderosity, who swapped from Bryce to Vue, no doubt there are a few others here who have done so as well. Not giving Bryce up entirely, but DAZ need to do something significant soon or it will fade. If you have any suggestions on how this image can be improved then you are most welcome to comment. Thanks for looking, Steve.

Cool. Especially cool for your first. Reminds me of the 'Chewits' advetrs from the 1970's shown in the UK.

hmmmm so do you think you can do everything in Vue that Bryce is capable of - besides agreeing and hoping that the recent activity by DAZ means that Bryce is getting the attention it deserves. Cant comment on the difference between the two on the same subject as the lighting and pose are significantly different.

Yeah, don't think I want to totally abandon Bryce--yet--but who knows? Depends on whether DAZ gets on the stick and really does something with it. Will at least go back periodically--I've got dozens of WIPs nearly done that I don't want to have to start over from scratch to do in Vue. Will enjoy seeing how you use Vue.

Good job for a first Vue render. The background is a little too sharp, and could use some more haze or depth of field for better effect. Otherwise a great character!

Hi Steve, good to pop in and see how your doing.I went over to centrevale but hit the under construction page so thought Id swing this way.I do really like your model,he has a great character presence and you could imagine him on his rounds.I like your render in Vue,I know shardz and prog also tend to use vue over bryce.I dont have vue but was consider in it until I realised that I dont have the time to spend lol.I think your character would look great with some low level spot light hitting his face from below(like kids with torches lol)just for a bit more umph, but then again what do I know;)I was in my inbox earlier and cant belive what we went through, damn I do hope you get everything together and follow your dreams.I admire what your doing, speak soon mate, cal

Cool looking monster. He'd look great atop some tall skyscraper, perhaps biplanes flying around him.
