Still playing with the lighting on this one: the volumetrics are a little 'over the top', but hey, this is a WIP after all :) Have to work on the ceiling lighting. I get one or two lights to work out nicely, then add another and poof, it all needs to be re-tweaked!
Appreciate any comments on what to improve.

The lighting and the angle are great! There is a wonderful sense of scale, even without a figure to give perspective. The leaded glass is beautiful. This could be a very powerful set in a movie.

I agree with shrinkers. Put more Light coming into the leaded glass. I wanna see all those colors :) Nice volumetrics. (((((HUGZ))))) Don

looks good! like the light rays. My only question is, if there is this strong blue light, why is all teh ambient light pure white? If anything maybe should be a slightly golden color of candles..if not the bounced blue light from the window. keep us updated!

Kool POV and WIP so far, as for a suggestion, I would use a white volumetric light to show off the colours of the stained glass, as others have mentioned, also remove all the other lights from the scene and crank up the ambient lighting to about 50% using a slightly blueish colour and render with Monte Carlo radiosity with 3 indirect light bounces, if it's still a bit dark in the shadows, only then I would add another spot light from below the floor with no shadows and at about 20% intensity, to help beef up the radiosity coming from the floor...I hope that helps ? ~Cheers~

Thanks all for he wonderful comments. Jif3D, I'll certainly give your suggestions a try, particularly upping the rad and using Monte Carlo. The great thing about this program, and this community, is that there are a myriad of things to learn, and fortunately many experts who take the time to help out us newbs. Cheers Jif. CarpetShark P.S. The lead glass windows were an afterthought...glad I put them in!

Wonderful use of streaming light rays. Fine architectural modeling as well.
