I'm old, married to Linda ( http://lindamccarthy.redbubble.com/ ) for what she thinks are 20 long years.  Two step-children, four grandchildren and a great dog pal, our Dirk.
I am an accountant now with an eclectic job history. Have loved photography for years and am just now getting back into it after a 20 year hiatus. Lost most of my prior work and gear in an arson fire. So. I guess you could say I'm starting over with my preferred personal therapy.
It's nice to have a place where I can look at the work of others for ideas and challenges, as well as a format to display my own work.

Very exotic and a lovely bright colour. I did a search on Google and the nearest I came up with was Bouvardia. "Each stem resembles a small bouquet in bright firework colours. They also have a faint delicate scent. Imports from Mexico". The leaves don't look as fleshy though as your ones so maybe someone can enlighten us.

Beautiful and very interesting. Not something I'd find in my alpine flower references, sorry. LOL.

It's lovely! Maybe PJ or Andrea will know - I've got no clue.

The leaves look like Escallonia. I'm not sure. Anyway, it's a lovely shot!
