Description

This is a view over the fields of St Ouen's Bay in Jersey. I would love to live in this house with no neighbours. (There are many houses here I would love to live in but unless I meet my millionaire, alas) :) In the background you will see Kempt Tower which was built in 1834 as a defence against invasion. My photo was taken from the base of Mont Matthieu which is my favourite road on the Island, as you come around the sharp bend of this very steep hill this is just a morsel of the vision that greets you. Many of our country roads have a speed limit of 15 miles per hour (or just over 24 km per hr) to encourage walkers and disuede vehicles. The bay is also known locally as the Five Mile Road due to the huge stretch of beach, which is generally a surfer's paradise. I spent many years in this area either on the beach sunbathing, having BBQ's or sleeping in my 1966 split screen VW camper on balmy nights during the summer. Enjoy! (My scenery photos look better on full view, is it because I use a simple camera?) any advice would be appreciated.) Susan

nothing to do with the camera your using susan .most pics look better full size because of compression .such a beautiful view this ,must be quite something to look at in person.excellent capture :o) mick
