Description

A friend and I went collecting fish in a local brackish stream and caught this guy. He is a male four-spined stickleback (Apeltes quadracus) in breeding color (notice the red pelvic fins). He is only about an inch long but is all attitude.

A great shot of a fish that is difficult to photograph. Would like to use this in our field guide to Ontario fishes. Aka-Paah, please check your Renderosity messages.
