Nice plane I always liked the lines on this one.

I had a model of this as a boy. It was my favorite. Later I met D.C. Caldwell and Charles Deasey of the Douglas Washington office who had been Cutlass pilots. I found it was the first jet to land on a carrier. No wonder the AD line never got restarted.

Xcellent technical presentation!

I love these illustrations of yours. This is one plane that I always love the shape of, it's such a shame it saw a rather short service life. I suppose that by today's standards, though, those huge fins would present a very large radar profile, sigh. Very nice render of a beautiful aircraft.

In the category of the most strange and ugly planes that have reached production this will won a medal.

These late 1940s and '50s types that were important in discovering what exactly would, or wouldn't work with jet aviation. sirgugu is right, it ain't purty, but your render is superb!

ugliest? nah, there's some real doozies out there. The one with rotating rocket blades for VTOL is certainly up there...;) great work. keep 'em coming...

Looks to have been a powerful brute, all wing and engine, but the pilot must have had an exceptional view - useful for carrier landings. My understanding it had design flaws and was very susceptible to accidents.
