I see in my mind's eye, training time with the 2 foot jumps set out in pattern, English saddle on horse, posting proper by the rider as they approach the practice jump. A brush of the crop on the horse's shoulder for timing, a squeeze of the rider's heel to the flank and effortlessly the animal gently takes the bar and moves to the next. These grassy, well manicured pastures are perfect stages for my mind's eye.
