OHHH..I entirely LOVE this!(((Dirk))) Yes..and then we happen along, destructive creatures that we are..and muck up eons of exquisite harmony. Irreplaceable? Nod. So much, so many, that we have managed to manhandle into extinction with our rampant greed, ignorance, and complete irreverance for the naturally occurring..in our self-fabricated, then misguided, sense of superiority. WE are the real killer bees...and with venom enough to echo our sting...into eternity. Excellent work!

That topic has always struck me as scary. Bee's and pollen collecting creatures can't leave us or there is no us. Why don't they get it? Day before yesterday a semi truck overturned carrying a huge payload of pollinating bee's. The poor things clung to their group of boxes. So precious.. each and all.. [=

Agree with Dinhi. Not enough people are paying this attention. Great image. Real sci-fi feel. Too bad the scenario of their demise is as calamitous as any sci-fi story.

And then Gaia shook herself to rid herself of the parasites that had been breeding on her for so many centuries. And the earth trembled and shook .. A scarey thing, we over-populate this small planet, strip it of all living things, and wonder why we are dying ..
