In the Opera "Lucia Di Lammermoor' there is a scene that is most commonly known as "The Mad Scene" in which the lead character, Lucia, descends into madness and kills her newly wed husband and imagines herself married to her first love; Edgardo.
The song "Il Dolce Suono" has been remade several times, the most notorious of which would be the "Diva Dance" preformed by Inva Mula in the film "The Fifth Element".
However, my personal favorite adaptation and performance of "Il Dolce Suono" is by Russian Dance/Pop/Classical Opera singer Vitas....Of course he had to change the lyric "Edgardo" to "Esther".
HENCE! Why instead of a female being the center of the graphic there's a male descending into madness. The violinist is a nod towards the artist's music video for the song (which I highly recommend everyone watch :-D) which featured two highly talented violinists.
Basically just a doodle. I've been wanting to do something for this song for quite a while.
