this is all that remains of the splint (matchstick) plant that was owned by lumber baron e.b.eddy. they floated the logs down the river and matchsicks were made here and the boxes at another plant.

Hey this is great. I'm from Aust, but I read somewhere their last plant on Chaudière Island closed only about a year back. Awesome photo.
