My friend Frank in my photography group and I go on "photo excursions". He's a kindly elderly gentleman that has taken me under his wing. He teaches me things like, aperture, how to use my tripod, shutterspeed, that if I use all the gizmo's on the tripod it will be almost as tall as I am so I don't have to kneel on the ground (he laughed himself silly when he saw me do that) how to take pics of flowers, what judges look for in a photo. So on Thursday we went to the Bronx Zoo. He gets a kick out of the things I will do and the extent I will go to take a picture. When I go out expressly for photo shoots out doors I (obviously) don't dress up. LOL..This was my first time at the Bronx Zoo in over ten years and with a real live to goodness fantastic camera (sans zoom lens :((( )Frank let me use his camera for the zoom lens. I like my camera better. In fact, he even traipsed all the way back to his car to get it! Frank is patient (lord knows you need to be with me)and kind and an excellent teacher! He also keeps telling me "Michelle you have a great eye for the camera, now if only you would learn how to use the darn thing!" So over the next few days I'm going to post in collages to try to keep it interesting.I will try hard not to bore you guys to tears. I do hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday.
