Description
I asked myself; self, what is the big drawback for tanks? The answer, the treads make for a lot of maintenance. I designed two different wheeled chassis to be used by the U.C.E.(United Countries of Earth). These chassis will be used mainly by the Marines and Rapid Rescue and Reaction Force. There is also a troop compartment in the back of the vehicle. I also made 8 new turrets for the vehicles.

mmmhmmm mmm I think your missing the point as to why the treads are there - manuverability over any terrain - perhaps in a very level urban enviroment those would be feasable - but still horribly vulnerable to being disabled from flanking attacks. The front Shield? - is also far to low to the ground it would get torn up and stuck on every bump in front of the tank - the crew would make quick haste to rip it off and perhaps use it as make shift armor over the tires on the side to reduce the vulnerablity there. Next there is a matter of gun recoil and will the suspension required by tires able to stand that and not just blow out - something that treads are able to withstand. Perhaps some very light caliber weapon platform for urban enviroments. Keep up on the modeling!

This would be great for 'rush hour' traffic! If you could just get it into the car pool lane!

db, The tires are solid rubber there is not an armored vehicle in current production that would not use a solid rubber tire design. But on the same resank shou would lose a tread just as easily to a flank shot. I agree with the wheels I will have to lower them more and add a beefed up supension system for variable terrain. The plow is for running through swarms of the living dead and wrecked vehicles its not a shield at all. Maybe I should have mentioned that. The main reason treads are getting replaced is due to the fact that this new army can't call a recovery vehicle when treads are thrown. Everyone who studies armor knows that the longer the route of march the more tanks you lose to maintenance and the main mantenance hog are those treads.
