Description

Ok this is a test render for a book cover and it is almost done. I need some clear opinions, like the tatoo at her neck and by her mouth I am not liking it as much because of her pose. here she is not in the scene for the cover but I am working only on the character here. So please look at this in full view and tell me what you like and don't like. Her attitude is that of a"Princess" the you don't impress me much pose that says in-difference or non-chalance, and boredom. Also she will be leaning against a wall! she must have spots, tatoos and long dark hair, have attitude and red gloves, thanks for your comments Dusty

I would suggest the tattoos need a little more strength - bit darker shade or even black. Not sure what sort of attitude you're after, but looks like she's being defiant, so maybe shift the right leg and tilt the head more. Star4mation's right about the underwear - she needs something to stop the leather chafing!

This is a very beautiful character superbly rendered and dressed. I am sure she'll fit in an environment of the same quality. Excellent work!

First off looks great, and to answer your request I'll tell you what I don't like and what I do. I like the character concept, I would just go a little fuether with it. From what you described, she needs a bit more attitude in her expression, and just a little bit more exaggerated pose pared with a more dynamic pov in the finished product. I like the idea of the tats, maybe a little less on her face. And little jewls in her hair or something and some jewlry elsewhere as well. But that being said I really like the character development so far. And keep in mind that I have no background in character design so.. I have no clue what I'm talking about basicly lol. Just my opinions. Excellent job on this, definitely looking forward to more

Very cute character, I love the spots you've got on her too (where are those from by the way, they look familiar). I would suggest for a "princess" look you should change the materials/textures on her clothes to look more regal. perhaps some fine purple linen type cloth, not brown. Also, any metal on her clothes should probably look like polished silver or gold. As for a pose, perhaps a "stuck up" expression with chin up would work here?

I like the character. I can see what you mean about the tattoo across her neck. Maybe instead of across the throat, running up the side, sort of parallel to the spots? She does look aloof, if you want more of that attitude, maybe have her eyes closed a little bit more, like she's fighting sleep. She's a heck of a great character, so far!
