i owe all your earlier shots a visit, but I keep coming back to your barns because I see so few in my life here in downtown chicago. ("so few" = none.) This one is striking for its simplicity. Often your barns sing with various stages of decay, wood cracked & gloriously shredding, weeds climbing up the sides, the roof shingles in all their wonderful snow-white discolorations...but here you found one that's either new, well-kept, or knew you were coming and put on a tux for the shoot. The wood is really quite clean, the windows ditto, and the roof, a clear smooth green. It's got a beautiful sheerness to it, simple and bold (it's probably sniggering at all the other barns, whispering, "hey, weed! pass a copy of this to the others so they can see what a real barn looks like..." Well, not so fast there, Green...except this one has such a frontal plainness & day-bleached beauty, it's very restful to see. I love the fence at bottom, the clean-cut grass, and that towering blue sky with no sun—but light everywhere. And a perfect angle on the barn. Another jewel country-capture from you. it's beautiful.
