Description

Hello ALL!!! Had a nice 4th of July this year :O) . Went to the nearby local lake with family and friends . Chrissy had a blast on the water slides and horses there at the lake. It was very hot out around 100 so had to keep cool in the water and drinking lots of slushy icy drinks!! I wanted to bring my cocker spaniels but I felt the fireworks could hurt their sensitive ears ) This year I decided not to see the fireworks show through the lens of the cam but sit back and enjoy ( usually I am so busy trying to get the cam setting and shots of fireworks right that I miss something of it somehow). So i just sat there enjoying the display with friends this time -looking up. ( my anxious camera still felt like shooting however . Couldn't let it miss out -so I set it on fireworks mode as I rested it upward diagonally on the arm of my camp chair. And finger clicked away not looking through the lens . Didn't really know what I would end up with LOL as it was hand held Pocket cam and blind ( but I did my best to keep my hand steady on the chair arm)!!! ...And so hoped I would still get a few with just luck and the press of my finger... Here is a collage I made in paint shop today of the best of those blind finger clicking shots . I played with it for a while making it into a design of a floral bouquet/ Topiary ! All taken from around 20 separate shots. Figured some of you are all probably tired of fireworks shots by now so I tried to do something creative with them. SO posting something different today -its a collage work almost like a fractal thats made into a design but with photos. Thank you for all your time and comments!!! Love to all !!! ((( BIG HUGS ))) ~ Kimmers ! ♥ :O)

Excellent variety of bursts in these captures, considering the primitive methods used, and super duper postwork in this magnificent bouquet of the rockets' multicolored glare, Kimmie! Surprisingly, there hasn't been that many fireworks uploads over the last few days.

What a brilliant concept for a collage and it's even more amazing how you captured these photos! They are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing your story, too. I tried taking a yellow lab to fireworks once. I spent the entire time consoling her and ended up leaving early. It was probably a wise decision to leave the furry kids home. : )
