Description

I read somewhere than an abundance of methane in the air would make the sky look green, hence the title. It always seems like any graphics program I acquire soon approaches its render size limits. I don't think I've reached Vue6's limits yet; but I may be coming close as far as the ecosystems are concerned. This render's ecosystem consists of 50 separate objects in this ecosystem, divided into 39 static plant objects and 11 animal objects. Some of the plant and animal objects have between 2 and 7 objects combined into one object; e.g., a family of Jumperia (mother and three babies) or a cluster of Shmongler plants. Since Laurent Antonini aka Dreampaint modeled and textured all of the alien plants you see (and quite a few more that I haven't used yet) it seemed appropriate to dedicate the picture to that artist. In addition to all those plants, I used the following animals: From DAZ: "Jumperia," "Bolladon," "Charranx," and "Zubarra"--all by Dinoraul. From Renderosity: "Pug" from IW's Aliens. There is a Jumperia, a Charranx, and--I think--a Pug in this render. Can you find them? Plants: modeled and textured by Laurent Antonini aka Dreampaint. Some of Dreampaint's freebies for Vue4&5: http://dreamp.club.fr/plante1.htm Dreampaint's store was at Poser Pros before DAZ closed it down. Here's an old link that shows what he can do: http://poserpros.daz3d.com/store/merchstore.php?merch=11000 If any of you know where he has set up shop, please let the rest of us know. Thanks! Laurent also had a site with a lot of non-Vue freebies (where I got a number of the above items) but it is apparently no longer in existence. PS. In Topeka, they allow fireworks to be sold and use for the week prior to celebrating the Fourth of July. My dog, Juli, gets very freaked by any loud noise; be it a clap of thunder or the faintest of firecrackers going off. Two days before the Fourth, she was laying under my computer desk when a particularly loud explosion went off. (I was startled too!). She crammed into the wiring behind the drawers of my desk. I had to get down and pull her out. The next day, I did not have an internet connection; nor the day after that, or on the Fourth. I thought the local cable company was doing some repairs or upgrading, but on the fifth, I finally thought to check my connection and guess what? Yep, Juli had pulled the Net plug! Sigh! I practically had withdrawal until I figured it out. Also very frustrated because I had several pictures to post. Thanks for all your comments and visits! Jeremy

Great alien landscape! I can't make out the critters, but that's just a testament to the complexity of the plant scape.
