Description

Algatocin is located in the Serrania de Rondas along route 341 between Ronda and Gaucin, Andalucia, Spain. During daytime it looks like a white cluster of houses perched along the mountain slope and at night it appears to be a cluster of lights in the dark. Yet, when we drove through there at 01:00 the locals were still sitting outdoors and drinking wine. This picture was taken in July 1989 and later scanned. Thank you for viewing and commenting on my recent uploads, Sig....

....dieser Ort sieht so "unwirklich" schön aus! Ob der heute auch noch so erhalten ist? Eine wunderschöne Aufnahme mit dem Blick über das Tal und diesem einzigartigen Ort!

Such a beautiful shot. I have been to Malaga, Toledo, and Madrid many years ago around 1970. It was a very special time for me. Beautiful presentation. Brings back memories of my single live. Aloha

Lovely vista, cosily enclosed in the valley. I am amazed by the uniform rooftops. Maybe this is what life is all about?

It seems a some what strange place to build a village Sig, half way up a mountain side. I wonder was it a strategic move for some reason? It also looks like some form of a fortification a bit further on than the village, was this something to do with it? A very intruging image Sig, it doesn't look as though it was well planned but as though it was just thrown together. I guess the slope of the mountain decided most of it. Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!

A super view Sig, the whiteness of the buildings makes the whole village stand out on the hillside. Bravo!
