Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Of course I look at that and think "pretty," and then immediately "raised beds - easier to maintain - good choice!" Thanks for showing your new patio and some of your garden in context. Your canna looks awesome!

I think you should also be the recycling Queen as well Marilyn, I would never have dreamed of using the old wheel barrow for planting. I am not a gardener but I like the way you have set this corner up, it looks like it's quite easy to maintain. Excellent set-up, and an excellent capture. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

OMG, Marilyn, this is so, YOU! A lovely little corner, a Garden of Eden all to yourself, replete with neatly placed colorful flora, pots, vases, urns, chips, compost, et al. Nice healthy clump of canna plants to boot.

Our city gave away big compose bins that you put together for attending a class on how to compost. I did my class on line and then sent my daughter to pick up my bin from the city. I don't know what I did without it. Great shot and I can see how happy it must make you.

My Dad had a box with a slot at the bottom so he didn't open the box except to add and the oldest stuff, ( more decomposed), got used first. What a lovely and welcoming place. Like PJ's an invitation!
