Description

I met the fractals in 2003, in a forum for teachers opened by the Ministry of Education Italian at completion of a refresher course. I have transferred the passion born even in my classes .... I was a teacher of art and with my students I began to seek similarities between fractal made and the forms in nature, in art, in everyday life. This system was a great way to involve the students to design and the history of art ... but also a way to learn to observe and grasp even the smallest details! This "passion" has remained, and even though I am now retired from school by two years, I like still find images of fractals in art or nature! Realizing this fractal, I’m myself shrewd that it had a great similarity with wildflowers that I had photographed time ago ... do not believe also you that there is a similarity? I used the photo "The victory of the green one on the cement!" as palette colour of the fractal. :)

Very nice work, Maria. The black and whit thing looks very cool. But the photo is pretty too. Very interesting story on the fractal too. Can't say i understand much about fractals. But some are real pretty. +5 to let you know i did not down rate this.

Stunning work, on the Apo as well as the final composition. It's true that fractal designs are to be found everywhere, in nature, in art, in everyday life. Perhaps that's why we find them so very beautiful. For me, they can contain the essance of beauty in such astonishing forms.

I love seeing "Queen Anne Lace" flowers and the question is not if fractals resemble life or vice versa, but the fact they do

We are all fractals. Everything that is organic, and your comparisions are very lovely and beautifully presented. It's nice to know how people got "into" fractals. The thing is - once here you are hooked!

華やかに咲く花も良いけど、人知れず咲く花は私は大好きです。

I just love the combo. The colors and the contrast between these two pictures is superb on many levels. The realistic and the abstract, the colored and the B&W, etc. Brilliant!!!
