Description

These are the inspirational pictures I am using to start our new set "Shipwrecks & Sunken Treasures" (A.K.A. MRS5 - SST). The Landscape is based on the bottom pic and I have the cliffs model almost finished (no textures yet). The Highres Palm Tree model is about 33% finished and the coconuts are about half done (model and textures). One ship skeleton model is about 20% done, so all-in-all the set is taking shape fast, but nothing is finished to the point of being interesting to post. So why post anything at all? I am a looking for suggestions. This is what I am going for and would like suggestions as to what might be cool to include or add. Also any cool pics you may have of sunken ships, ship wrecks or secluded beaches that you think might be inspirational would be very cool too. Either send me a copy or or post them and send me a link :-) I'm not actually looking for pics to include in the set as textures or such, just stuff to spark the imagination for things to build :-) My main intention is to build one or two landscapes and then save the landscapes with different wreck designs in them. I will also do a couple of Atlantis + Wrecks crossovers so they can be used underwater using the Atlantis set. On a different note; The "Elfin Temple" set is finished and will be shipping out to friends and beta testers tonight. It worked out to be 165 meg installed and 65 meg zipped. I didn't include the poses I had talked about but will instead finish them and post them to the free section.

I like these! I should think they could inspire all sorts of creative ideas in you! Best of luck on the Elfin Temple set! Please give those poor penned up Canadian elves you have been making slave away night a day an extra ration of bread and water for all their hard work!

The beach is know as "Shipwreck Beach" and it is in Greece. There is a wrecked ship in the middle of the beach but to me the wreck in not interesting, the beach is.

Create some rock for underwater scenes with shipwreck, big rusted anchor. Just some ideas for scene props. Great refs. :)

The big rocks and anchor are good ideas. I am going beach hopping this weekend for "beach scatter" seaweed, driftwood, and such stuff.

These are so shortlived. They do hint at deterioration and wave action that could break up any wooden vessel so exposed. There is a finite set of vessels that come to such grief in this way and that is also a matter in your set. Yacht lovers keep bringing them back almost as fast as inadaquate resources abandon them.

I like the one on the top right, judging from your freebies, I will assume that this product will be huge, so I recommend that you also do a sunken ship for the product as depicted in the upper right hand photo. Another thing that could add to the versitality of your product is if you make poses with all the major figures DAZ3D millenium and V4 and soon M4, which utilize the Lost Realms mertail, since it is sterotypical that sirens and mermaids/merman hang out near the beach and near sunken ships. This would add another layer of desirability to the product as well as creating a way to bring more people who are interested in other niches to buy your product. The poses don't have to be extravagent, just some laying and sitting poses in key areas. with camera and light poses set up for each pose. It looks promising from how I imagine it to be based on the photos you supplied. I wish you the best of luck
