Description

Roby

Sacred Rosa of Calamuchita, the earth of the abundance. THE name of Santa Rosa of Calamuchita is due to the first chapel been founded by the Order Dominique in the 1700, being erected in the place in homage to the Santa Rosa. On the other hand, Calamuchita is an indigenous word "Ctalamochita" or "Talamochita", linking of two voices and a suffix: "Ctala" and "Mochi" that mean "Pruning" and "Molle" respectively, and "Ita" that expresses "Abundance", reason why "Calamuchita" it indicates Abundance of prunings and molles. The city, crossed by the river Santa Rosa, this it inserts in the Valley of Calamuchita among the cords of the Big and Small Mountains. The comechingones and sanavirones were the primitive residents of the place, like in the whole mountain area of the Cordovan county. On the same ones we can aim that they were of great behavior, farmers of varied vegetables for their food, with rustic housings, overalls semiburied in the differences of the mountain land. They practiced the loom for their gears with lineal guards and some geometric drawings. Something of ceramic that is still conserved in certain populations. The oldest residents, worked the stone for their defense weapons. They were subjected in principle by the Jesuit evangelism that had a wide and strong work in the region. The natives were contained in towns and integrated in counties. And it belongs one to them that he/she gave him name I specify Santa Rosa, it was the denominated Calamochita. The first Spanish conqueror that went by the Valley of Calamuchita, was Don Francisco Cesar in 1528, using as penetration road the river Carcarañá in search of the rich city mentioned in the King's legend Blanco. The Indians were distributed in you commend and the lands were given in grace. Sacred Rosa of Calamuchita, formed a grace of which was accrediting Don Pedro Thin García. These lands passed their daughter Francisca and their husband Lázaro of Matos Dacilvera, toward 1625 and in 1642 they passed to property of Don Pedro Goatherd when the Governor Don Miguel of Seses granted them in grace to Spanish Don Sebastian Carranza and of the Tower. There is not document that their foundation testifies, but it is considered as such the year 1575, and its history begins with the first stays of Spaniards and with the arrival of the Jesuit and its stay of San Ignacio. In 1877 Mrs. Mercedes Grassland Núñez and Don Estanislao Bathrooms donate the property corresponding of Santa Rosa's Church, department Calamuchita. In 1891, the nucleamiento population had already taken body and it is believed the primary school, the police, the courier of the mail and other official dependences. In 1935, Mr. Diego Garzón fractions and lotea the property of Santa Rosa's current central helmet. The first hostel was inaugurated in 1929 and the transport Diviú it took Córdoba in 1931.
