Description

This is a photo I took at the Saint Louis Zoo. The animals are Takins. The Takin (Budorcas taxicolor) is a goat-antelope found in the Eastern Himalayas, and is the national animal of Bhutan.

Fantastic .... looks like the ones on the bottom are trying to escape the water and the one on the top is calling them up??? Excellent capture! Now I also know that a Takin is the NA of Burma!!

Beautiful shot and timing. I've heard these animals might have been the original inspiration to the Jason and the Argonaughts greek legend (due to their golden coats I guess)

Beautiful capture! It seems like a most beautiful day for a "sprinkler" shower for these lovely wild creatures! A terrific nature scene, and a most delightful looking habitat!
