Description

The view towards these iconic mountains over Loch a Chairn Bhain, where the crews of the X-Type submarines practised before their attack on the German pocket battleship "Tirpitz" as she lay in a Norwegian fjord. There is a monument to their courage at the side of the A894, just North of Kylesku.

Ahh Quniaig, what a wonderful part of the country. I went up there a few years ago (in thick cloud) and sadly missed the view from the top. Thanks for bringing back the memory. From the right angle Sail Ghorm looks a bit like an elephants face.
