My real name is Markus. I live in Germany in a little town between Chemnitz an Plauen - i don't think somebody knows ;-).
Last year I buy me a Nikon D40 and now I be able to take much more pictures as before. The macros I shared are all freehand-shots.

Great shot of these wonderful caterpillars. I really enjoy your pics. I have been doing a lot of reading about the Nikon D40x. I am still trying to decide on what lens I need and if I can afford the expense of both new camera and lens. Are you happy with the D40 and what lens do you use? I have been feeding 14 Io Moth larvae for more than month. It reached a point where I was having to replenish the food three times a day. They finally all stopped eating and the last of them formed their cocoon just yesterday. I will post images when they emerge. Mine ate and pooped and ate and pooped and ate some more, lol. I am not sure they even rested except when they molted each time. Lee
