Description

This picture is dedicated to my good friend Dave (aka magnus073). He's a really sweet and caring person and I love his artwork. I've been wanting to do a picture for Dave for quite a while now but couldn't figure out what to do. After much pondering on this, I came up with an idea to do what you see here. Here's the story behind this... The sorceress and her little dragon buddy live together high up in the mountains. She passes the time by studying her craft but after a while a break is in order. Thus, when the sun goes down and the shadows begin to darken the sky, she entertains her dragon pet with magical and colorful sparkles, like fireworks in the sky. His glea at this spectacle makes her happy. I used Poser 6 and Photoshop CS3 to create this picture. Hope you like it. P.S. It took a while to get this picture posted. I had completed all the upload info, put in all the credits and even had written the caption. Right when I was able to push that Upload and Save button, my kids came bursting into the room and decided to pounce on me. After some play time, I shooed them away. I took one last look at the picture and saw something that needed to be fixed. As I was making the fix, it begin to thunder outside. I finished the fix, hit Save and was about to go back to Renderosity to finish my upload when bam! The storm hit, the power went out and my computer died. All I can say is thank goodness I was doing my save in Photoshop and not in Poser. With Photoshop when you save something, it's saved. With Poser, you never know what's going to happen especially if your PC gets hard booted. Whew! Add'l credits: Denise V4 (Illusions Designs) Rose Curls, Hunter Dragon & Hermione Blue (DAZ)

This is really so wonderous Lori and such a great gift my dear friend. I love this scene and the magical tone you captured here. Beautiful effects from her flowing cape to your sparkling magic filling the air and on top of it all the expressions on both her and the dragon are priceless. (Glad the kids were able to help you in posting :)

Lori, that is a very entertaining piece. I like the sparkles and the dragon's delight. Love your 'war; story about the storm. I've never lost anything thanks to my UPS - holds everything up for about 10 mines should the power go off in one of Florida's frequent thunder storms.
