Description

If only I could sing. Bryce 6, no postwork. It's been a while' since I last had a chance to visit you folk here at RR. I'm totaly overwhelmed by the site mails I got enquiring about my whereabouts. It sure is great to see such bonds of friendship that grows between fellow artists. As for my whereabouts...mmm well....! Work, work, work and more work. 3 months of doing double time shifts to try and catch up, with all the lost hours we had due to loadshedding-(electricity cuts) Unfortunately..' then the powerstation in my town burned down!!! 7 days of darkness followed. When the power was finaly restored, the supplier announced shortly there after, ''there is no planned loadshedding for the next few months'' Maybe they have realised that they don't know how to turn their own machines off.lol Unfortunately... we still have power cuts, cause' of cable theft. Yep! 100's of meters/feet of cable gets stolen at a time.???? 'This should become an adition to' ''Ripleys believe it or not'' So who's stealin' these cables? you may ask. Well' criminals I guess, but no one seem to notice the electricty/phoneline cables disappear untill it's all gone. So?... if the electricity company needs a cable wheel to be able to handle 100f of cable, then how does this criminal genuises remove the same length without rolling it on a clearly visible cable wheel? Apparently' the one end of the cable gets tied to the back of a motorcar, and the driver then speeds off, dragging the cable into the nearby darkness. Then the cable is quickly chopped into smaller sections. 5 mins to steal a cable but it take 3 days to replace!!! Why would anyone be stealing these cables? The answer is ''Copper'' and because it's such easy money. Apart from all the above and all the gruesome murders and day'ly acts of crime and the fact that we have an serious outbrake of 'XENOPHOBIA' (the attack on the lives of foreign citizens) Allthough I can admit that I'm not very proud to be called an South African right now, I sure am glad I don't live in Zimbabwe!!!! We could not get an renual on our lease for the building that our company was renting, and thus we were forced to relocate our company to my bosses 'smallholding' Goodnews though, is that the effort made by my boss and I to keep the company going, is finaly paying off. Sadly though while other signage and graphics and many other companys were/are closing it's doors, We have managed to survive so far. Don't know for how long we can manage to go on for, but this only time can tell. On a better note! Since my boss can't affort paying me for all my overtime worked, he kindly repays me by allowing me to do some large format prints for personal use. So' now I get to print some of my own work on many different mediums. This includes Banner pvc, flag materials and different vynil types. I also have done some contravision prints for my wife's new car. ps. ''old piece of junk'' Grinn!!! Also my boss sold me his Yamaha Virago 125cc motorcycle at a very low price, and gave me a plotting and vynil cutting machine valued at around $5 000 as a gift for my past efforts. Hopefully with things getting a little more manageable now, will mean less hours at work, and more time to spend here at RR. WHOOPEEE! Appologies to all who's mail I haven't yet replied to. Thank you for viewing and I hope to see you all again real soon. Untill then take good care my friends. Muis

Muse it is so great to hear from you again my friend and I am so sorry to read about all you have experienced recently. I know how it feels to be without power for days on end and we forget just how helpless we are in the dark. Sorry more than anything to read about all of the murders as that is so horrific and I hope they can put a stop to it soon. As for the stealing copper we have that going on in our area now and our governor has even put out new mandates for anyone trying to sell the copper to have to show where they got it and prove it was legally obtained. Glad your boss is working with you so well on what he owes, sounds like a great guy.

It's so good to see your creative artwork once again. The trails and tribulations that you have and are going through sound so terrible. I'm glad your boss is working with you and I hope only the best for you and your family. Hugs, Holly
