Nice texturework, what renderer did you use?

Thanks all! Alfons: I used Max's native scanline renderer, blurred in postwork.

The lightning and the texture is extremely wonderful, I definitely sure that you are born for this!

do you mean to say the blurred in post work is depth of field in painter? great map on that thing there

Pureflesh: I did the DOF effect in Painter by making two layers: one original and one blurred. Then grabbed the eraser and... :-)

Hey awesome work! Love the textures. One thing - I THOUGHT something looked a little off... then you revealed your double layer DOF trick... one suggestion based on that - could you use an alpha channel? I'm not familiar with Painter (I use Pshop 6), but using an alpha channel would be much more precise around the lip of the cup. Still.. I like this a LOT. Who says you need those fancy renderers to get an awesome image?

Alpha wouldn't work, Z-Depth would be a better option. Great work, LOVE the textures!

Nitro, I know it's probably poor form to ask you this, but could you explain how you create one of your images? I'm particularly fascinated by the texturing...almost painterly feel of your images. I have no idea why a guy like you has his work posted on a site like this. You should be talking to Steven Speilberg or the folks at ILM...! It's clear you are wayyyy beyond most of us here.

Thanks all!.... bobhobz: maybe I'm better than others, but I'm also worse than others. I'm happy if people look at my images and it doesn't matter at what site it happens. I can't give a "script" of how I make my images, but postwork pumps up a lot of things, for sure. Plus I use global illumination many times which gives a natural look to the image. ILM? ... wish!!! :-)

It's real and almost... alive ! The depth of field is excellent. You got a real good sense of photographic stuff. You shoot your imagination... And it's great ! Marc
