Description
My goal was a large space suitable for a modern art gallery or other public space. This view shows the end with a second story and the two small gallery's behind it. I'm having a heck of a time sorting out how to properly light such a large space (suggestions welcome). I've tried several kinds but they all seem to want to add a color to the space I think takes away from it. The walls should come out whiter than they are for me now. The skylight has some white but its not fully translucent so the blue you see is the background color. I haven't gotten the art up on any of the walls yet and there will be some benches and small panel walls if someone wants to cut the space up. As it is I know it looks a bit dull.

Hi Khory_D, If you have it, you might try the UberEnvironment Basic for the light foundation. It's a white IBL (so it reaches everything in the space equally), adds a sense of depth and texture with the AO, and is very controllable. Then add lights as needed to simulate the other light sources: skylight, overheads, and frame lights. I've never tried to light a large interior space like this, so that's just a guess. I'll be waiting to see how this progresses, as it looks like an ambitious project. Good luck!
