For You Dear Mandi *S* "To sleep, perchance to dream" * * * Mornin' All ! Well, after Sunday's bit of silliness, back to business :o) First, I'd like to thank everyone who helped put NYX and Arachne's Web on the Charts...NYX made #1 and I almost fell off my chair !!! Getting on the Charts is undeniably a thrill (to me, anyway) but the really important thing is I hope my pictures can give someone a smile, or lift their spirits, or provoke a thought, or even evoke a sneer or two :o) ...the important thing is, that they get a reaction and touch someone's life (hopefully) in one way or another. Thank you ALL *S* Regarding the title of this....Somnium in Latin means "dream" ....I had wanted to call this, in Latin, The dream, but alas, unbeknownst to me, there's no Latin equivalent for the English word the...weird, huh...so, it's just plain ol' Somnium :o) ....now, you all have had your little Latin lesson for the day lol Y'all have a good one :o) ~ Love & Hugs ~

I love the colouring and to me it has an egyptian feel to it but seems I don't know any Latin it may have a latin look. No matter, it looks great with lots of lovely texture. And you well deserve your place on the art charts.

a very full vision of melting eyes & faces, melting structures, and musical interplays of rectangular shapes and lines dripping across the work like counterpoint. Your colors here have a kind of burnt 'rust' feel to them (even the greens) and your overall textures and lines as always have a life of their own, giving the sense that you 'capture' your works as much as create them, as if you cut them out of the cosmos lock, stock & barrel. You portray process beautifully in other words, and this is a perfect example.
