Description

"Sun Flower" is an appropriate if not boring term. The term "Solar Maximus" sounds much better, and while it may have something to do with high sun spot activity, I believe the exact Latin translation is, "Damn, it's hot out today." These were grown in pots from seeds and require almost constant watering and plant food, until the squirrels ravage them. I consider it a challenge. Although, after ten days of having my mother-in-law visiting us, I'm beginning to believe I have all the challenges I'll ever need. Best zoomed. Peace.

My main challenge with these is snails who climb up the stem at night and CUT THROUGH to cause the head to fall to the ground whilst still in bud. GRRRR! Good pic!
