Amazing for your first serious flower shot with a decent camera. I recall how pleased your look was when you saw how good you could do this. Very good Arthur!

Welcome to Renderosity Arthur! May your stay be one of great moments, learning from others and also sharing what you have. Very well composed capture and the side light is an excellent way to emphasize color and texture. Well done. As for granma, you are in good hands, trust me.

First off, welcome to RR Arthur, I hope you gain knowledge and friendship on this great site, which is more like an extension of family than just somewhere to post images. Secondly, take note of what Gram tells you and you won't go far wrong. Thirdly, don't worry about erasing an image by accident, you aren't the first and you won't be the last. I have done it myself on more than one occassion. There are programs that you can get to recover erased pictures though, I got one free with a memory card but I'm sure there are some free ones on the internet. Last but not least, what a great capture especially for a first attempt, exceptional clarity and detail a beautiful flower and an excellent macro. It looks like you have a good eye for photography, just like your Grams. I look forward to seeing some more of your work. Spectacular macro. Bravo!!!!!5+++++

Welcome to RR, Arthur! Wow, this is amazing for your first photograph. I love the colors in this and the way it shows the blooms in various stages of growth. I look forward to your future posts. I'm a grandma too, and I'm currently on vacation with my two youngest grandsons (ages 7 & 10). We bought them cameras for Christmas so we are having a lot of fun taking pictures. I hope we have as much fun as you and your Grandma did.

Welcome to Renderosity, Arthur! Great image for a first post and first shot with a new camera, better than I did! Hope you will like it here and look forward to more images in the future. You have a good teacher in your grams. :)

welcome to RR! Great first macro shot Arthur, you can't go far wrong with taking advice from your Grams. On my older camera there was a "delete button" and also a "delete ALL" button, hehe guess which one I chose, I erased 30-40 pics by accident. I wasn't happy but we go out on another day and the new shots make up for it!

Welcome Arthur! You've got some super shots to start your gallery! You come by it naturally! And don't worry about the erasing- I managed to "erase" a whole pile of pictures already burned to DVD!! That takes a certain talent! LOL! Keep up the great work! :o)
