The tide was out, leaving these ripples and reflections~~just for me!!

It has always puzzled me why the tide leaves patterns like this in the sand, I guess it has something to do with the waves but why does it do it on some beaches and not on others? I would never have thought to photograph it though Marilyn. I have to agree with the above, it does make an excellent abstract. Well spotted and a superb capture. Bravo!!!!!
