Great. I love a good night shot! One idea here would be to use a very sturdy tripod and either set your camera off with a remote or with the timer. With absolutely no movement of the camera, you could have your fantastic flowing car lights whilst also maintaining a pin sharp road surface. Not using an SLR, you also have the advantage of being able to just push the button whilst on the tripod. The slight lag will still allow the vibrations to go before the photo is taken. Either way its a fine shot!
