Description

At the bottom of this dead-end is located one of the oldest huge stores in Paris : "La Samaritaine" ! Unfortunately, because the roof was in a sorry plight, this store is closed now and the whole employees were burned out ! This shot, taken this week end shows to you that this wonderfull place is still in the same condition since several years and nothing happens regarding any restoration. . . Until when ? Sad report! Triste constat! And thank you very much for your comments on my previous upload: thumb_1710980.jpg "Within thoughts"

The street scene shows so much character that its sad to think it is not revived to its former glory. Great POV Janis.

Yes, it is really a sad story, Janis, but the capture is so beautiful.

Excellent image. Alas, we have some fine old buildings here in our town, but some buildings which are still for good use get torn down, and a newer, more "pop" type of architecture replaces it. I fear we will have not much left one day. I hope they restore the building. We need to keep our history! Europe is great for that.... but not so much here. ;o)

A sad “ending” only to bring in a new beginning hopefully…. Although your capture is wonderful, and I admire the perspective. I see the “dead end” in another sense as well, yet cannot quite explain that “narrowing in” feeling I get when looking ahead. Marvelous sky, and you’ve certainly captured a lovely and powerful mood and atmosphere that seems to speak stories for itself!

You know my Beautiful It is of value that they really do not take account of beauties historical the of a nation. The money attracts the money and it everywhere is all similar which distresses of to see these losses in a district Cheer of the love which you emerge from your knowledge to hold up the flames of the conservatives Mile mercies of your large heart ((5++)) Tu sais ma Belle c'est de valeur qu'ils ne tiennent vraiment pas compte des beautées historiques d'une nation .
