Description

-Gotta click to enlarge for the details- Having purchased the Acme Company in the late 60's, Wile E.Coyote soon turned it into a multi-national conglomerate. Working hands-on well into his eighties, Mr. Coyote, despite his successes, is still plagued by a longtime nemesis. *** A tribute to Looney Tunes and specifically Chuck Jones. Like most of my images, this started out as a straight image, but went wacky rather quick. I made the "ACME" sign to replace Stonemason's "GARAGE" sign, just because the bulding never struck me as a garage. Of course, Acme is a well-used company name, but it only reminds me of the endless devices that the Coyote used to thwart the Road Runner. So I went with that idea. Added the text in Photoshop. Use Stonemason's Backstreets and Dreamlights Light Dome Pro and Mask Creator (for a slight distance haze).

A good laugh from this one! One of my favorite Toons. I think the most priceless touch in this render is the "Beep! Beep!" grafiti over Coyote's private parking sign. Guess his nemesis remained alive and active well into his eighties as well. Grin.

Hilarious. Great case of stupid jokes being slid neatly into an apparently serious picture. Not the premises I'd choose if I were Mr Coyote; that water tower is bound to fall on his head sooner or later

Acme Anvils!! Cool! Thanks to kjer, I almost missed the Beep Beep joke. (Yeah, I know, but I looked at the picture before I read the blurb) And thanks to Frogdot. Love the understated humour. D

Very cool and fun image Dave. The only thing I would have preferred is for Coyote's car to have been a 69 Roadrunner Hemi. That way.. the Coyote could claim He finally had gotten a roadrunner...lol. Also.. per delbeke's comment.. they did make a Roadrunner cartoon where Wiley caught the Roadrunner (finally) and had him already to cook in a big ol pot. Then the Roadrunner presented Wiley with wallet-photo's of all his kids and Wiley let him go. But it was most gratifying to see Wiley win once..lol. I see the facility for Anvils and Jet Packs.. too bad wasn't room to add Ski's, Skates, Springs, Explosives and of course.. Cannons (my personal favorite). Super job and superbly detailed render my friend.. Best regards from Dave :^)

Ha! I get it! Acme Rocket, Acme Anvils! They're what the coyote uses to get the roadrunner. I watch those cartoons in the morning before school. Ha! You really ran with a great idea. I like the BEEP BEEP painted over the CEO sign. I'm giggling as I write this. Wonderfully fun image! And nice lightwork, too. :)
