Description


On the way home from SUNY at Oneonta, I stopped at the Masonville Stoneworks in Masonville, New York. The place had piles of huge blocks (some of which I will post tomorrow) and stacks of cut stone on pallets ready to sell. I snapped this close-up of a block with the drill lines used to break it up into manageable blocks. Enjoy!

When we're driving on the interstate over some of our mountains here, we see these in the massive rock above the road. Amazing what they can accomplish with that drill bit.
