Description
This is the first post I've made here in quite a while. ---- An illustration (using primarily Painter and then tweaks with Photoshop), from a college class, inspired by material from A Princess of Mars. (Let me know what you think).

"Life" class? You mean like drawing from life? -- I suspect I am, as usual, missing a joke ( it seems to be my lot in life). The goal of the assignment was character design - for clarification.

Lol. Funny you should mention that, Darklorddc. This was a two part assignment - the first to come up with concrete designs for a species or character from the book. The second was to depict a scene. I created an image of a battle between John and a white ape, but I am not completely happy with it. Once I have a chance to tweak it, I'll post it! (Once again, thanks all for the great comments!)
