Hey people, thanks for your continued kind comments =)
I finally got off my butt today and, as threatened, managed to make it out into the countryside for a short while to attempt a few new landscape shots with my slinky and already much cherished new mini tripod. The light was fading fast and I didn't have chance to get far from the road on this occasion so leapt into a nearby field and walked until it seemed to be a reasonable composition with the church, fields and light.
The church is Boarhills Church, just a few miles outside of town here, no info as it was basically irrelevant to me, just happened to make for a nice foreground compositional element in what was essentially a self-indulgent attempt at a nice shot of some open fields as I've hardly taken any yet this summer and wanted to bring them back inside with me to enjoy ;) Anyway, it's in keeping with my new pact with myself to try and get out of town more for photos as there's hardly a spot I haven't got a shot of within town itself..
