Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yup, the stereo-type for California beaches... :-) and I bet this looks like one of those hot, sultry California days, windswept hair, sand between the toes, bikini tan lines... I know San Francisco. If you are born there, you might call 75 a hot and balmy day. If you have a bikini tan line, you also have 3 inches of blubber to keep you warm while you sit in the sun and get battered by winds that fill your mouth, ears and matt your hair to your scalp if you aren't diligent. I've been known to lay out on a San Francisco beach in my overalls, flannel shirt and a jacket before. I have to say, you did a bang-up job on this photo because it does look like a pleasant day on a sunny california beach...and you got it between periods of rolling fog too! LOL

Wow, what an awe-inspiring and overwhelming burst of light!!! Shades of the Eniwetok atoll from 1948 to 1954. Love the golden color and reflections on the placid ocean below.
