Unsuccessful contest entry for a competition. A story for it was also required. ================================ First Flight ------------ by ZOT Created: 30-May-2008 Created with: Poser 6, Vue6i, PS ================================ ================================ Firsts.... They say you never forget things like your first knight out with the guys, your first fast food burger in the local town, (they re-elect a new one soon enough), your first cow, and your first kiss.... I can remember my father warning me how not to set fire to everything when I jetted my first plume of flame which coincided with my first bout of indigestion and I couldn't sit down for a week.......it was firsty work indeed. Then I can remember meeting my mate, falling in love, and even though the mother-in-law was a real dragon, finally deciding to tie the knot together with her for always. The egg came soon enough, even before we had a proper lair to ourselves and it was as much a surprise to her as it was to me. I blame it on the night of cow tipping we did together which put as in a romantic frame of mind. But the egg hatched as most eggs do, and the little guy was a squeaker and a squawker but as he was so cute I made allowances for the fella. Yes, there's many first things they say you never forget but for me my finest first was when the magical moment my little guy Rodney made his first flight into the air and fluttered in place before me.
